WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE COMEDY BAR?

Introduction:
Is it allowable for a believer to go inside the comedy gay bar? How about when they are just invited and unknowingly a friend suddenly grabs them to come inside the bar for the important occasion? Is there anything wrong when a Christian get inside and never taste liquors instead take some non alcoholic beverages? What is wrong listening with the same performers whom people watches at the television?
If it is wrong what are the reasons:

1. The Bible called BLESSED those who "WALKETH NOT IN THE COUNSEL OF THE UNGODLY; NOR STANDETH IN THE WAY OF SINNERS; NOR SITTETH IN THE SEAT OF THE SCORNFUL."---Psalm 1:1.
Christians should never listen or accept the invitation neither the counsel of special someone for special occasion to spend short moments inside the bar. A child of God should not stand in the way of sinners or stand in the same lifestyle with the world. If someone would introduce himself as a Christian and requested a gospel song inside the bar, people would mock or scorn him, hence the Bible tells us not to have seat inside the entertainment room.

2. The Bible commanded us to "ENTER NOT INTO THE PATH OF THE WICKED, AND GO NOT IN THE WAY OF EVIL MEN. AVOID IT, PASS NOT BY IT, TURN FROM IT, AND PASS AWAY,"---Proverbs 4:14-15.
It is very clear as the sun that Believers in Christ are prohibited to enter and go into a place where evil and wicked people are around practicing unholy things against the perfect will of God. The Scriptures warns us and instructed us to avoid and not to enjoy the place. In addition, Christian should never pass or even have some glance inside the bar, but turn their back with hate toward the evil doings then totally get away from that worldly place.

3. The Apostle Paul strongly and plainly challenges us to "ABSTAIN FROM ALL APPEARANCE OF EVIL."---I Thessalonians 5:22
How could we enjoy and be excited in the entertainment room where the gay performer acts and appears as a woman. God hates homosexuality in Romans 1:26-28. Paul never encourages us to watch the comedy gay in the bar but instead abstain from all abomination appearance on the stage.

4. The Bible laid on us the apostolic example for "WE ARE MADE A SPECTACLE UNTO THE WORLD, AND TO ANGELS, AND TO MEN."---I Corinthians 4:9
Paul said in verse 9 that we are a spectacle to "the world" and "to men." There is a human observation of our life. People are watching us. Why get inside the comedy gay or music bar and watch those worldly entertainers where in fact we are supposed to be watched by this hopeless and Christ less world. We must never forget that being a Christian is very much a public matter. People around us watch how we live. They listen to what we say and take note of the things we talk about. They observe what we do and how we do things. When you profess to be a Christian, whether you like it or not, you become a spectacle to the world and to men.
Notice also in verse 9 that Paul says we are being observed by "angels." There is a heavenly observation of our life. The Bible speaks of angels as heavenly messengers that aid, assist, and accompany the believer.

5. The Bible commanded us that "WHATSOEVER YE DO, DO ALL TO THE GLORY OF GOD."---I Corinthians 10:31.
Do not make excuses that you just eat and drink not wine inside the bar. There are lots of decent places to eat and drink but why still in the bar where there are people who drinks liquor as it was sold inside whom God hates. Could God receive glory, honor and power inside the bar? --Revelations 4:11. The word "whatsoever" that includes the type of music must be Christ-centered; the words of the performers must avoid green jokes, and the type of drinks being served to the people.

6. The Bible warns Christians, "GIVE NONE OFFENCE, NEITHER TO THE JEWS, NOR TO THE GENTILES, NOR TO THE CHURCH OF GOD:"---I Corinthians 10:32
May the Lord guides us not to offend those unsaved (representing the word "Jews and gentiles"), neither give offense to the fellow brethren (representing the word "church of God"). We must not forget that the unsaved expects difference between the bible-believing people and the blinded-people in the world. If the unbelievers do not see any difference on the life of the believer and actually they want Christian to join with them in the entertainment bar, still it was considered offensive to the dying lost souls for they do not see any light. On the other hand, the above passage also reminds us to be careful not offend the fellow believers and members of the church. Hence, we are accountable not only to God but also to the church of God. Therefore, it is wrong to say “I already confessed to the Lord about my sin of going to comedy bar so I do not need to confess to the church!” This is an egoistic attitude which is a leaven to be removed from the church and described as a dangerous person that can influence and wound the weak conscience of the brethren. The Bible is so concerned not to offend the believers in Christ (Matthew 18:6-7; Romans 14:21; II Corinthians 6:3).

7. Jesus Christ had said, "SUFFER LITTLE CHILREN, AND FORBID THEM NOT, TO COME UNTO ME FOR OF SUCH IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN."-Matthew 19:14.
Why is it that the children were forbidden to come inside the comedy gay bar? Maybe some people might excuse themselves that she/he did not drink some liquor or strong wine to prove they do not do anything wrong inside the bar. However, if there is nothing wrong inside of that comedy bar why they do not allowed little children to be with them? If that place and program is pleasing to the Lord why not invite children to come inside and listen to dirty green jokes while watching some customers drinking strong alcoholic wine. Godly fearing family does not spend worthless moment in that wicked place but walk circumspectly redeeming the time--Ephesians 5:15-17.

8. Inside that certain entertainment bar we really broke our fellowship with God, for the Bible says, "IF WE SAY THAT WE HAVE FELLOWSHIP WITH HIM, AND WALK IN DARKNESS, WE LIE, AND DO NOT THE TRUTH:"---I John 1:6
Why go to a certain place where you do not have the fellowship of God. Sin broke the Christian fellowship with God. Therefore it was concluded, that the comedy gay bar in particular is a place that we could not find our fellowship with God and if we insist God is with you inside that bar, the Scriptures says you lied. The Bible commanded us, "HAVE NO FELLOWSHIP WITH THE UNFRUITFUL WORKS OF DARKNESS, BUT RATHER REPROVE THEM."-Ephesians 5:11.

9.God is against the place called the comedy bar because the Bible says "WOE UNTO HIM THAT GIVETH HIS NEIGHBOR DRINK, THAT PUTTEST THY BOTTLE TO HIM, AND MAKESTH HIM DRUNKEN"-Habakkuk 2:15
Some people made some excuses by telling others that they do not drink beer, well the issue in the above passage is not for those who drink but for those who passes or gives his neighbor drink. Inside the bar, the waiters or crew gave the ordered beer or wine to some customers. Why get inside the bar where God is not pleased for the giving of drink that made their customers drunk.

10. Getting inside the bar by spending moments with the worldly music, gay performers, dirty green jokes, and others are considered being "UNEQUALLY YOKED TOGETHER WITH UNBELIEVERS:"-II Corinthians 6:14.
Church discipline is imposed for those church members who have been involved in being unequally yoked together with unbelievers like having relationship with the unsaved, gambling, vices, etc. The same level of compromise is evidently seen here guilty of church discipline when some church members get inside the comedy bar and spend some time with those worldly practices. What makes the Christian interested in the comedy bar? Is it the jokes or is it the drink? Is it the music or is it the performer? The Bible declared plainly that Believers should not conform to the world (Romans 12:2, neither love the things that are in the world (I John 2:15).

11.God wants us to revere His Name as the Lord Jesus instructed us how we should pray "Our Father which art in heaven, HALLOWED BE THY NAME."Matthew 6:9
The Bible wants us to learn to highly respect God's name for His name is "REVEREND"-Psalm 111:9. Besides, in His prayer Jesus asked to the Father to keep us through the Holy Name of the Father, therefore why contradict Jesus prayer through compromise by getting inside the bar.-John 17:11. The Lord Jesus Christ here continues giving the guidelines in our prayer as He said in verse 10 "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." Jesus wants us to bring heaven in this earth. He wants us to live as we are in heaven while we are in this earth. Going inside the comedy bar could not describe that prayer which Jesus wants us to walk. Comedy bar is a place much different from a place could heaven. Although God knows we are not sinless but He expects us some changes and wants us to be blameless.

12.It is God's desire that every child of God must grow spiritually as the Bible commanded "LET US GO UNTO PERFECTION"-Hebrews 6:1.
The passage does not say "Let us go into comedy bar" but rather "GO UNTO PERFECTION". The word perfection here in original Greek is TELEIOTES denotes a fulfillment, completion, stressing the actual accomplishment of the end. It denotes Spiritual maturity which is Christ-likeness being the ultimate goal in the life of each individual Christian (Romans 8:29). The comedy gay bar could not help but hinder us grow spiritually. Comedy gay bar would only corrupt our heart and mind as Christian. The Bible commanded us to "grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,"-II Peter 3:18

13.The Bible plainly, directly, and strongly commanded us to "LOVE NOT THE WORLD, NEITHER THE THINGS THAT ARE IN THE WORLD."-I John 2:15
Whosoever claimed he/she was a believer and compromised with the world by getting inside the comedy gay bar is a person who do not truly love God as John the apostle judged "If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him." What John wants we to know is that those professing Christian who do not see the severity but enjoy the worldliness in the place called the comedy bar do not actually love God. No one could love the Holy God at the same time love worldliness.

14.The Prayer of the Lord introduces who we really are as He prayed to the Father "THEY ARE NOT OF THE WORLD, EVEN AS I AM NOT OF THE WORLD."John 17:16
Although Christians are "IN THE WORLD"-John 17:11 we are "NOT OF THE WORLD." We are no longer the people of this world but the people of God. Jesus in the same passage above identified Himself with us as He said "EVEN AS I AM NOT OF THE WORLD." Could you imagine inviting Jesus to get inside the comedy gay bar? Would Jesus come with you inside the bar? Or would you be with Jesus outside the bar? Peter describes us as he writes, “YE ARE A CHOSEN GENERATION, A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD, AN HOLY NATION, A PECULAR PEOPLE; THAT YE SHOULD SHEW FORTH THE PRAISES OF HIM WHO HATH CALLED YOU OUT OF DARKNESS INTO HIS MARVELLOUS LIGHT.”--I Peter 2:9

15.The Bible instructed us to practice "GIVING THANKS ALWAYS FOR ALL THINGS UNTO GOD AND THE FATHER IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST;"Ephesians 5:20
How can we thank God in the Holy Name of the Lord Jesus Christ about the place where we can found the people who smoke cigarettes, people who enjoyed the dirty jokes of the gay entertainer or other stage performer, people who drink wine and waiter who serve alcoholic beverages, and music with worldly sounds? If you can not thank God about that place, does it mean God is not please of your presence inside that worldly place. If you could not pray and give thanks to God about that wicked and wordly place while inside the bar you are outside the will of God.-I Thessalonians 5:18

16.Remember the Lord Jesus Christ called us the "SALT OF THE EARTH" and the "LIGHT OF THE WORLD"-Matthew 5:13-14
Do you still have or lost your savour as a salt once you got inside the comedy entertainment bar? If you lost your savour you are good for nothing. Is your light shining upon all men inside the entertainment bar so they can glorify your Father which is in heaven?-Matthew 5:16

17.The Bible teaches us that 'NO CORRUPT COMMUNICATION PROCEED OUT OF YOUR MOUTH, BUT THAT WHICH IS GOOD TO THE USE OF EDIFYING, THAT IT MAY MINISTER GRACE UNTO THE HEARERS."Ephesians 4:29
Think it very carefully. It says that we should not allow ourselves to talk nor hear words that would not edify and minister grace. Do not enjoy the green jokes used by the gay and other entertainers that could not edify Christians spiritually. The singer or speaker's speech must be always with grace and seasoned with salt.-Colossians 4:6 That is why the Bible teaches us that when believers gathered together in the church, all things must be done purposely for the edifying of everybody.-I Corinthians 14:26

18.The Apostle Paul beseech, "PRESENT YOUR BODIES A LIVING SACRIFICE, HOLY, ACCEPTABLE UNTO GOD, WHICH IS YOUR REASONABLE SERVICE"-Romans 12:1
Does your presence inside the entertainment bar could be considered as an holy and acceptable sacrifice unto God? Entering the bar is a reasonable service for God? The Apostle continue "BE NOT CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD: BUT BE YE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND,"-Romans 12:1 There was something problem with your mind if you conform to this world. In addition, you may not prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God unless you first separate your heart from that comedy entertainment gay bar-Romans 12:2

19.The Apostle Paul personally declared that "THE WORLD IS CRUFICIED UNTO ME, AND I UNTO THE WORLD."Galatians 6:14
We Christians like Paul should have no anymore feeling or sympathy with the worldly lifestyle. That is why Paul strongly claimed "I AM CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST"- Galatians 2:20. Paul writes to the Romans letting them know that believers were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into His death. Therefore, believers were buried with him in baptism into death.-Romans 6:3-4. Paul adds, "KNOWING THIS, THAT OUR OLD MAN IS CRUCIFIED WITH HIM THAT THE BODY OF SIN MIGHT BE DESTROYED, THAT HENCEFORTH WE SHOULD NOT SERVE SIN."-Romans 6:6

20.We Christians are being warned that we "CANNOT DRINK THE CUP OF THE LORD, AND THE CUP OF THE DEVILS" also we "CANNOT BE PARTAKERS OF THE LORD'S TABLE, AND OF THE TABLE OF DEVILS."-I Corinthians 10:21
Paul illustrates here in regards to the Lord's supper that he instructs the Corinthians who observes the Lord's table with offering sacrifices to the idols. This is impossible fellowship. Likewise, we ourselves have an internal idolatry in our heart. Idolatry means anything or anyone who was placed before God. We could not get inside the comedy entertainment gay bar during the rest of the week and at the same time go to church and expect right fellowship with the Lord and with the saints during Sundays. That is impossible! If you are not drinking alcoholic strong wine, why are you enjoying the table of the devils by fellowshipping with the people who drink wine inside the bar and enjoying with the sounds and music of the performers? That is fellowshipping with the devils! Why go to church on Sunday singing the hymnals while once in a while going inside the comedy bar listening to the worldly music and gay dirty green jokes, THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE FELLOWSHIP. Repent and be revived and restore your fellowship with the LORD.
