John is the writer of the Gospel of John. John was one of the twelve disciples of Jesus Christ and was the brother of James.
Matthew 10:2 “Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;”
John identified himself as the disciple _________ __________ __________ (John 13:23; John 21:20).
John 13:23 “Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.”
John 21:20 “Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?”
Most of the things John wrote in the gospel was personally witnessed by him because John was present when these events took place. That is why the record and testimony of John is true. If that so, should we accept those things that John has written in this gospel? __________ (John 19:35; John 21:24)
John 19:35 “And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe.”
John 21:24 “This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.”
John wrote other four New Testament books, what are those? (Last books in the NT excluding Jude)

Even in the New Testament, Jesus said, “I AM”.

Based on all the bible verses given previously that teaches about eternal salvation, so we see that Gospel of John was written by John so that people might believe on the Savior Jesus Christ (John 20:31 “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”).
Since the John wrote the Gospel of John in order for people to believe Jesus Christ and be saved, so here are things that we need to do:
1. We need to recommend the Gospel of John to our unsaved friends and unsaved love ones.
2. We need to advice people who are interested and desire to read the bible to start with the Gospel of John.
3. We can distribute to the copy of the Gospel of John to people who do not have the Bible.
4. We can arrange a schedule with someone to have a study on the Gospel of John.
5. We could read one chapter of the Gospel of John whenever you and your prospect meet together.
The Gospel of John contains simple words that are easy to understand like: word, life, light, darkness, God, witness, believe, world, receive, etc.
John 1:1-12 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”
People like us can be identified with the events in Gospel of John:
1. Unbelieving Thomas who refused to believe unless he saw the resurrected Christ (John 20:24-29)
2. Unaccepted rejected Samaritan woman from the Society because the Jews hated the Samaritan (John 4:7-18)
3. Unsaved Nicodemus who was a religious person who needed to be born again (John 3:1-16)
4. Undeniable healed blind man who wanted to believe but not sure whom to believe in (John 9:35-38).
5. Untaught Philip who wanted to know God and find out what God was really like (John 14:7-12).
